Question about ATI RADEON X1650 Graphic Card

My monitor screen turned green..

I have been using a PC ATI x1650 pro 512 ddr2 128 bit for almost a year when my monitor display suddenly turned something like a GRID with a GREENISH color. I restarted my pc but it keeps on restarting after the windows loading screen. I tried using other monitors but i get the same result. I uninstalled the graphics card and used the built-in card of my MOBO...and my pc worked just fine. I am quite sure my monitor and motherboard are working well. Is my x1650 Pro damaged? What does this monitor display mean?

Thanks. I am using DVI-VGA adapter because my graphics card has 2 DVI's and these adapters are working just fine...and I've also replaced them with new ones just to be sure. And this time, when I restarted my pc, instead of seeing a Windows loading screen, I see a blank screen (no display). And after a while, my monitor turns off. Also I am hearing "beeps" on my CPU after it turns off. What could be the problem?

I want to but a new graphics card but i just want to be sure that the problem is with this X1650 PRO...and hopefully not the motherboard. Thanks

It means you updated your computer for windows and killed your card, go to the asus ATI website and downlad the new driver for that card, there is a software fix for it.

Hello.
Looking at your specs, I assume that a Pentium 4 is not enough to run these kinds of games, so the overwhelming amount of data going through the cpu may have been causing your system to overheat.
Do these steps:
(1) Uninstall and then re-install your graphics card driver, if problem persists, go to number 2
(2) Try playing around with the ATI Catalyst settings, set everything there to default
(3) If problem still persists, then I -am- sure that your PC and/or graphics card is way too overheated, in this case:
(a) I recommend getting a heat-monitor (doesn't come cheap though) for your PC, to keep yourself notified of the temperatures of your PC
(b) Try buying more fans and if you can afford it get a water-cooling system

Above all, if you can afford a better -Gaming- PC then I'd suggest that, because your system isn't really that great for new games.

Good luck!

Duel Monitor Problem

first thing first ensure that you have the latest ATI radeon X1600 pro driver and software installed else you won't be able to get the desired options for dual display under settings coz it will be working with generic drivers.
To download the latest driver and software click here

Then please click the following link :
ATI Radeon X1600 PRO How to

On this link click on the option
  • "Guides, Walkthroughs and "How to's"
Then opt for
  • "How do I use dual displays or TV/HDTV out? "

Can i run ati radeon x1650 512 on asus k8N motherboard

Yes you can run the AGP version of the Radeon 1650 pro on your system. It is always best & recommended to upgrade memory in pairs. You could upgrade to `gb by purchasing a 1 gb kit which would be 512 x 2. That way you have a matching pair of RAM modules. As for a cpu upgrade you can go to the Asus website and see what cpu's are supported by your motherboard. Hope this helps & please remember to rate my answer. Thanks.

ATI RADEON x1650 PRO 512 Crash...

Their is a reason that it crashes and it is not because of the game if  it crashes at other times too. Toom much HEAT is usually the problem. Look for slow or stopped fans. Dust on the heatsink.Run the antivirus. After that clean and defrag the hard drive. Let me knw that that did not take care of the problem.

ATI x1650 Pro Stops!?

For this card they recomment at leat a power supply rating of 450 watts. If you have lower than this then I would suggest upgrading the power supply. A 550 watt psu is reasonably priced and should give you plenty of power for future use. Hope this helps.

My monitor freezes

since you have laready checked the videocard to be working on your friends pc, the problem may be on your motherboard.

try to do some tweaking on the BIOS and if that will not help, check your directX and softwares installed on your pc. check also if your pc is in its most optimal settings.
