Question about Sony Ericsson K800i Cellular Phone
Its just showing a plain white screen. phone wont work.
It could be the LCD sreen, the white screen is the backlight with no data They are very cheap on Ebay about £8 and no soldering is required. Checkout how to take K800i apart on something like YouTube. It is only 4 T6 torx screws and 2 philips screws. Take the front cover off and remove and replace the LCD screen and reassembly. Ground yourself, work slowly and you will be fine. Worth a try, if that does not work then you can try the software route but I feel it is more likely to be the hardware. Take your choice and good luck

This is almost certainly a firmware issue with the phone (Though it could, very rarely, be a fault with the screen or its connection). Reinstalling the firmware on your phone should fix the issue.
By using Wotan Server (http://www.wotanserver.com/en/) I fixed a similar fault on my girlfriend's phone. It didn't work at first, but I charged the handset again and it worked then. It does cost about £6-£7 to use unfortunately (paid up front) but never falsely charged me when it failed.
If you're happy to risk the £7 then I'd definitely try it - better than buying a new handset if it works.
