Question about CyberLink PowerDVD 5 Deluxe (018059035102) for PC

PowerDVD: controls no longer visible at bottom of screen

Hi, my powerdvd played fine in beginning, but although I'm still able to watch movies, I can no longer access the controls (they just no longer appear). You know the Play-Pause-FstFrward-Rewind... buttons that become visible when you move your cursor in that area below the movie. I know they're there, because clicking in that area will select those commands, but I just can't see them. Any ideas here on how to make them reappear? Changing a setting on some overide button? Thanks very much in advance for your help.
Mitch

ps. I believe its PowerDVD 5 Deluxe. The screen displayed smthing like: "PowerDVD Dx Vrsn 5.7.2409"

My DVD not reading DVD movie CD

Is it not reading the disk or not playing DVD movies? If you put a DVD data disk and it reads, then the drive is fine. If it just wont play movies, youre missing a DVD decoder (such as PowerDVD). Try testing other DVD disks and post your findings.

Dvd movies won't play on my computer

You need a dvd decoder. There are commercial programs like PowerDVD and WinDVD which have their own players, and there are a couple of free ones, called VLC and Media Player Classic. All of these are easily found with a Google search.

If you want to watch from within WMP 10, I believe it should be able to use the decoder that is installed with PowerDVD or WinDVD. There is also the PureVideo decoder from Nvidia if your system meets their specifications. Also you can install Nero DVD software.... Hope this may help; Regards, VOTIT
