Not necessarily modems fault. How old is your PC and have you added anything lately that might slow it down. And have you run a virus scan lately?
Virus and worms can slow you down as well as not enough memory.

Slo-do Slo-do, internet that crawls. The problem is just that DohDoh is a slow ripoff internet service. NEVER, I repeat, NEVER, have anything to do with them. Their 3g wireless broadband service average speed is only 30Kb/s. Telstra runs at 300KB/s. Ten times faster. I know, I have used both. \'nuff said.

Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Here's a link to this great service

Good luck!

My computer takes a long time to connect to the internet when i turn it on

You might have a problem with your phone line. Contact your broadband provider as they can slow you down if you have disconnected a lot.
Use a broadband speed checker. That will show if your broadband is slow.
PS NEVER turn your broadband off!

These problems can occur for any number of reasons. The most likely is that facebook is experiencing website issues and you may have to wait for them to resolve the issue. Even if you can visit the site from your home pc, your mobile will connect differently. Another issue is you may be experiencing a slow connection through your cell phone carrier. In times of low signal, you may see your internet browsing activity slow or freeze up altogether. You can move to a better reception spot or just try to refresh the page and try again. Also, if you are using a special app on your phone to access facebook. This app may be causing the problem. Try updating the app, using a different one or reinstalling. Let me know if you have any questions.
