If you said that you have cleared it of any paper then its time to have your printer check by a printer technician, a small piece of paper still stuck in there will cause the printer to sya these, check it again maybe you missed a spot, if you are sure you cleared it up real good then take your printer to a repair man to avoid any furthere more damage to the printer

What does it means when the check paper light on a HP PSC 1210 All-In-One printer stays on even though there is plenty paper in printer?

most probably there's still a bug, insect or just a small piece of anything caught between the roller or wheel after you cleared a paper jam otherwise a spring, hook tension-er across the roller is not in-place.

My printer says it has a paper jam, even though the paper jam has been cleared. It won't print. Any ideas?

Hi, Try pulling out the plug for 1 hour and then try again. Pulling the plug may reset the printer.
Good luck.

Paper jam display even though no paper jam anymore, unless there are tiny pieces left inside after i pulled the paper out

check near where the paper enters the roller for pick up and use a stiff brush to clear anything small in there. vacuum the area and then power up to see if this helps

Paper Jam fault

there are sensors that tell the machine the paper is jammed us a q-tip to clean them, remove the toner cartridge and check under that area when cleaning the sensors.

HP 7680 paper jam

I spent 21/2 hours with the HP tech support - with their recomendation to upgrade my 14 month old computer to the bigger model because the screen reads "paper jam". I have had this printer replaced once already, 1 week after I received it for a defective doc feeder. I decided to take things into my own hands - First of all, no paper was ever located in the paper jam area. Several soft resets by shutting down for 20+ seconds, then pressing #6 at start up resulted in any improvement - the screen continued to read "paper Jam....." the HP tech was unable to offer any practical suggestions.

I turned the machine upside down after removing the document feeder and examined the rollers at the back of the rear tray where the paper jam was supposed to be. I noticed that there was some black residue on the gears and although the machine was off and unplugged - the rollers / gears would not roll freely and seemed to get stuck. I cleaned them thoroughly with an old but clean toothbrush and water. (don't grease the gears - I've heard it eats the plastic) - until the rollers would freely roll when I moved the gray rubber rollers.

Returned the machine to correct position - and turned it on - "paper jam" message returned but the machine was sounding different than it had - so I did another soft reset (unplug from wall and printer for 20 seconds, then holding #6 for a few seconds while plugging back in and now I can print. The printer went through its maintenance cycle and did a realignment. I can print and everything is working fine at this time.

I hope that this will help someone. I couldn't find any information on how to repair the printer and HP seems to be all about producing junk and convincing you to "upgrade" at a cost of $2-300. When this one does finally go - I won't be buying an HP!

The 7680 jams a lot and the document feeder has a lot to be desired. It has trouble feeding straight and if there is a jam anywhere in the machine - it is always difficult removing the paper without tearing it and creating more problems and waste of time.
