Incripted wii remote

1. Ensure that the Sensor Bar cord is plugged to the back of the console, and is placed properly at the center of your TV screen. For detailed directions on setting up the Sensor Bar, please click here.

2. Check to be sure the Wii Remote is synced to the console, by using the Power button on the Wii Remote to turn the console on. (The power button is the small white button with the red symbol in the top-left corner, just above the Control Pad). If this doesn't work, try to sync the Wii Remote. Once synced, try to turn the power on the console on and check for proper response.

3. Make sure that the Wii Remote is being used between 3' and 10' directly in front of the TV and that there are no bright light sources affecting the Wii Remote's operation (review Game Play Guidelines for more information), and that the Sensor Bar is placed properly (see Sensor Bar setup). Avoid sources of infrared light in the gameplay area such as electric, propane or kerosene heaters, flames from fireplaces or candles, and stoves or other sources of heat.

If you are still experiencing problems after trying the steps above, there could be a problem with your Sensor Bar.

Cant calibrate tony hawk shred board to my wii. I've tried everything

At last! My Son's Tony Hawk Shred board was one more try from being thown down the garden, as i have been trying since Christmas day, & finally there it was a board i could use. I've followed all bits of advice in a number of differant ways --- here's what worked for me, Turn off at the wall Sky TV, Turn off all lights (only tv turned on), put my crutches in another room (because large metal objects interfere with soft ware), Remove dog from room, Put senser bar on floor, Turn Wii console side on so that Dongle faced away from tv (aiming into centre of room), Place Shred board on floor facing tv/senser at about three feet away. Start process of game set up untill you get to choose a profile, Select profile, press & hold for 5 secs start button on board untill the four blue lights start to flash at a rate of about one flash per sec, then hold on same button untill blue lights flash quickly, then press & hold Dongle button untill Dongle light stays on, with in 2 secs game calibartion instructions start, BEWARE Tony Hawks responce when process starts is as annoying as not being able to get board started. Good luck when up & running it is one Awesome game!

The senser bar can ONLY be used if it is ON TOP of the TV OR BELOW it.

Cant get past language screen

Here are instructions from Nintendo on how to fix this issue. It's most likely related to the sensor bar. Good Luck!

If your screen appears frozen at the Language select screen, we have found that to be related to the Sensor Bar. Please try the following:

Ensure that the Sensor Bar cord is plugged snugly to the back of the console, and is placed properly at the center of your TV screen. For detailed directions on setting up the Sensor Bar, please click here.

Please read the following:

The Sensor Bar has five infrared lights on each side of the bar that the Wii Remote uses to determine its position. If these lights aren't working, then the Wii Remote cursor will not display on the screen, and you won't be able to navigate the setup screens.

wii_sensor_bar_language_screen_lights.gif

To see these lights, you will need a digital camera or cell phone camera with an LCD display . After making sure the Sensor Bar is plugged in and the power to the console turned on, direct the camera at the Sensor Bar so that it is displayed in the LCD of the camera. If the five infrared lights can be seen on both sides of the Sensor Bar, the Sensor Bar is working. While the position/angle of the camera may need to be adjusted slightly, the lights are fairly easy to see in the LCD display.

Cursor moves spoardically across screen

# Check that the Wii sensor bar is on or below the centre of the TV,and there is no obstruction with clear line of view between it and the Wiimote
# Go in Wii settings and check there are only 2 dots visible. If yes, crank up the Sensor bar sensitivity to 5 with 2 dots still visible, else adjust it till the 2 dots become stable at whichever sensitivity
# If there are more than 2 dots, there is some IR source in the rooms which is disturbing the wireless connection between the Wiimote and the sensor bar, so that source has to be removed from the room

Nothing else works, then resync the remote. Remove the batteries, wait couple of inutes, reinsert, and resync through the 2 red buttons.

Nintendo wii, can't get past selection menu for language

First make sure you sensor bar is plugged into your wii correctly, and it is centered and on the top of your TV.
If you still have the problem then you need to sync your remote with the wii. Do this by holding down the red sync button on the remote, located under the battery cover on the back, while holding down the red sync button on the wii, located next to the SD Card slot.
If it still doesn't work, that means you have a bad sensor bar, you can get a new one at wal-mart for $20. To make sure that it is not the sensor bar, take a video camera and take a quick video of your sensor bar while it is plugged in and the wii is on. In the video, if you see five LED lights on both sides of the bar than it is fine.
Hope this helps!

Broken wii remote

Try windex on the sensor bar on top of your TV. Also check that the sensor bar is properly connected, it's not reading that particular remote.

This sucks...

If the Wii is set to 60hz make sure your tv supports it. For the curser problem, try replacing the sensor bar or changing the sensitivity
