Outside main 100 amp breaker is tripping but none of the inside breakers, supposedly when dryer and tv on together but not all the time

Am I to assume your dryer is electrical? If so, I'll guarentee it will draw MORE than 14 Amps if heating. Sorry, can't analyze your problem from here.

Sanyo repairs built-in transformer

Most refrigerators draw up to 12 amps on a lock-rotor.. meaning it reached temperature, and turned "off" there needs to be 5 or 10 mins, before the compressor can restart due to hi-pressure inside the condenser . usually you will hear the fan(s) come on, it makes a "click" sound trying to start- that's called a Lock rotor. when People seem to have problems asking about how many Amps. it's because they trip their house breaker. I will assume and respond under that pretext - 1) 15 amps minimum on a dedicated line, means only that item. 2) house breakers weaken over time and will trip - here's how you can tell the difference If your breaker trips the instant you plug in your refrigerator.. 90% probable problem with refrigerator, a short somewhere is causing the breaker to open the circuit . if you plug in, and Refrigs runs for any length of time, and then the breaker trips. The refrigerator is combing it's consumption of Amps, contributing them with something else so together they exceed the rated voltage or you need a new breaker.

Goodman a/c @ heating unit. Model #gmh80703anca when I turn the unit on it keeps blowing the fuse on the circuit panel. What could be causing this?

Several questions:
1. What fuse? 110V at the furnace? Breaker at the house? Fuse on the controller board?
2. Does the ignitor work? Do you get gas ignition?
3. Does the exhaust fan come on?
4. Does the main blower come on?

My maytag microwave blew the ciruit breaker a several times last night. I reset the circuit breaker each time. Then the last time, I reset the circuit breaker and the microwave did not get power back....

If there's no other appliance on that circuit, then please stop trying to use the microwave. You could be dealing with a dead short, and those sometimes leave people,,,DEAD!

I would be really cautious about trying to use it anymore without checking it first for a direct short.

You need to allow the circuit breaker more time to reset, flip to off and give it 2 minutes, then turn it back on. You should feel the distinctive click, as well as hear it if it's working properly.

Circuit breakers can go bad after repeated failures within a circuit.

The outlet could also be damaged now, but normally it's the circuit breaker getting too hot with repeated failures.

If there are a number of other items on the same circuit, then try the microwave in a plug that you know has no other items being used at the same time, preferably while wearing heavy duty leather insulating gloves to protect yourself from any possible shock. If the circuit breaker blows, you've got a possible electrical short within the microwave.
Good luck!

My neptune electric dryer keep blowing the breaker after ten min

If the dryer is running then blows the breaker , then it is not in the electric circuit, There is a fault in the dryer itself. If it blows the circuit at the same place in the cycle each time then there could be some fault in the heating coil or in the timer circuitry.

Motor is from a table saw; it rans badly only for a short time and it blows the breaker. Thanks for info Chris Schwarzmaier Additional info: single phase 220, 2 hp, no interial centrifugal switch, start...

Check the brushes to see if they are worn. Also, check the commutator (where the brushes run) Double check the capacitors to make sure that they are the right value. Most motors that size can be wired several different ways -- make sure it's wired right for your hookup.

does the indoor fan come on if fan comes on then the problem is out side if the fan is not coming on and the breaker blows this will turn off the out door unit also due to the 24v transformer is located in the indoor unit your system has two breakers one for out door and one for indoor units as far as your contactor goes with power off look at the contacts if pitted bad replace it most need replaced after 5yrs also check for voltage drop on the load side look at the capacitor to make sure it is not swelled up on top if so then bad unplug the fan motor and bump the contactor with an insulated object to make sure the compressor is running if not with power off remove the cap on the side of the compressor and look to see if wires are connected good they some times get lose and ends burn off also on the contactor they some times buzz when bad hope this helps with your problem

Friedrich QuietMaster SS12H10

It is probably either the Compressor and or the capacitor that has failed. The compressor will hum and pull a lot of amps when it has seized up. Sounds like it is time for a new unit.
