Many people who own the U600 know there is a way to zoom in to photos, but can not find the way to do it. All you need to do, is open a photo and then push the 'up' volume key on the left side of the phone to zoom in. And of course, push the down volume key to zoom back out.
Here's some interesting tips on how to get the maximum out of your iPhone - features that are not usually mentioned in the users manual. Zoom in and out in Google Maps: Everyone is familiar with the 'pinch' with two fingers to zoom in or out in google maps. A problem with this is the rendering detail in maps depends on what level you've zoomed. You might have noticed with pinching to zoom in, that the map is sometimes blurred. A simple solution to this is to double tap to zoom in. Google maps zooms in to such a level where you get the best detail of the map. Wouldn't it be so good if there was a similar tap option to zoom out? Turns out there is one - Single tap using TWO fingers to zoom out. Once again, the app adjusts the zoom level to get the best map detail. I've found this pretty useful and quick when I'm looking for directions or searching for a location. Sorting your photo library by 'Videos' and 'Photos':My iPhone photo library has tons of photos and videos. It's a pain to locate a video amidst so many photos in the photo library. So instead of using photo library to view photos, I sometimes use the Camera app, and enter the photo library (bottom left with the last image preview) from there. On top you'll find these options - All, Photos, Videos. Tap on one of those, and bam! you have your library sorted by the type of file! Screen shot of your iPhone: A pretty common tip - press the home button and the screen-off button to save a screen shot of your iPhone to your photo library.
Zoom ability is implemented in iOS4.
You have iphone 2G, so there is no official way, you can have iOS 4 on your device.
And I do not recommend to use iOS4 on 2G/3G devices, because hardware of these devices is too slow.
But you can try search AppStore for some camera apps, there should be zoom ability.
Hope it Helps.
hI Samsung star 3g has a digital zoom function and not optical zoom function. You cannot increase the zoom while taking the pics when you have digital zoom option. You can change the zoom of the pic after clicking the pic without hampering the picture quality! Hope this helps :)
While in camera mode you can change the settings so as to shoot in a lower resolution mode where you'll be allowed to zoom in on the image. But you'll lose clarity as you have it in lower resolution and also have zoomed in.
