I strongly believe that you are having a component failing 'likely a bad capacitor' in the power supply. A capacitor is much like a battery that when it get's old it's unable to keep or hold the voltage charge it is suppose too. The discharging of the capacitor could be causing this issue. The only other issue is that you may have one of the three CRT's going. High Voltage discharge.
The only other thought is that it could even be your convergence board where the amplifiers they use is causing the problem.
Sony is great for having parts and a good TV repair like a Sony Service Center would be able to fix the problem. May cost you a bit, $200 or $300 possibly.

When I turn my receiver on it makes loud popping noises from speakers. I repeat turning it off and on until it doesn't have the popping noises and then everything runs normal.

Its likely a dirty contact on safety relays or volume track.
Remove power and rotate volume min to max 5or 6 times.
Or it needs safety relay contacts cleaning/repairing or ensure the volume is turned to bottom before you end up popping a cone on your speakers.

My advent notebook has started to make a very loud buzzing noise intermittently, much too loud to be caused by mobile phone interference etc?

If the noise isn't coming from a speaker, you could need to replace the fan on your computer. The bearings for it might be busted, another issue could be the speaker wire isn't fully connected internally, which you could fix by popping off the top power panel area and fastening the speaker wire in it.

I hope this helps, if not I apologize. The question isn't super vague, but it still has holes in it. :) I can to help more if you post more about the issue.

Mag tv

Take a look at photos to see if similar but different in physical size with a plus mark on one side and a minus mark on other side

Note that on rather large ones it is normal for the black plastic on top to appear lifted--on regular caps with silver tops it is not.

Im getting interference with my laptoppower supply to my loud speakers how can i stop it

You need to do a little troubleshooting by testing with headphones alone and see if it happens if it does than there clearly is something wrong internally with adapter. Possibly could solve problem by replacing power adapter if this problem just started to occur. Another thing is if it does not happen on headphones than your loud speakers(stereo) is causing the issue and may need to connect it to another one. Also, try and unplug any other device you have attached to laptop and clear any other electrical devices from both stereo and laptop as far as possible. Good luck.

Onkyo SR606 - Loud Poping

It could be a number of things,
1. an electrical short in the house. Try plugging it into another circuit with an extension cord.
2. A bad RCA cable that is input from one of your sources.
3. its probably a bad unit if you have Zone one and two playing at the same time the same source, but it only happens on zone 1.
4. a bad speaker can make a poping like sound, does it happen on all speakers? unplug all but one and one at a time try to determine if the problem sticks, if not, then one of the speakers is out of phase or blown.
5. Playing music froma computer source will sometimes make a pop if your computer is slow or bogged down with checking emails..etc. mine sometimes studders PPPPPPPrioRRRRRity CCCCCLLLLLLLLEEEEERRRRANCCCEE AAAAAAALLLLPPPPPHAAAA OOOOOOONE.
it also pops real loud when booting or shutting down.
Personal note ........windows is such a hassle for Media systems.

I hope something here helps!
