They cant tell what you are logging into it would possibly have the same IP address if your laptop is in the same connection as the other unit.The IP is unique to your router or modem connection via your ISP, so I doubt they are the culprits.
You cannot log in in more than one place, so make sure you are only logging in after you have logged out of any other machine.
Other than that check your firewall settings it may be that it has decided that that site should not be used for some reason.
