Try going to D-Link website for firmware upgrade to this model, Also make sure u download the the firmware for the version of windows you are using. In order to upgrade, the router must be hard wired that is connected directly to your modem as unit will not upgrade using wireless connection.
Hope this helps you!!

D-Link router switches off internet connection when tv/DVD remote is used

Hi, Your question is not so clear. For giving the proper solution I need to know something. As per my knowledge a fiber optic cable doesn't connect a router directly without a Media Converter. Secondly please tell me the model number and the brand name of your television. Third do you configure your internet connection on your television through IP address??

Cannot connect to Wireless with my Linksys WRT120N Router.

If you have 2 devices not be able to connect to it suddenly, then it is probably the router that changed, as opposed to it being the 2 devices changing at the same time. Sometimes wireless routers just go bad like that.Try a factory reset, and then set the appropriate settings back to where you need them. If that doesn't help, you likely need a new one.

Wireless connection

-Try restarting your pc.

-If the problem persists then unplug your router for about 15 seconds.

-If that doesnt work, then remove the code key that you assigned and see if the pc connects then you've simply entered the wrong code key that you assigned.

-If that doesn't then go into your network settings, right click on the network you are trying to connect to and click repair, it will try to diagnose the problem.
- It may be that you changed a setting in the router, try setting it to factory default.

I hope this helped!

My Belkin F5D8236-4 v3 Router won't turn on. We had a storm last night and the power went out but the router won't turn on. I have tried to plug it into different outlets to see if that would work...

Try resetting the router. There should be a little hole somewhere on it with a button inside that you can press with a paperclip. Try holding that button down while you unplug then plug the router in while holding it (if possible). If that doesn't work, I'd suspect the storm might've damaged the router somehow. Was it plugged into a surge protector, and/or have you noticed any other issues with anything else that was turned on at the time?

I bought the Averatec N10000 6 months ago and am unable to get it to recognize my network - I have tried to update the driver but it doesn't work - it uses the 802.11 bg mini wireless card... any ideas

Try disconnecting any wireless devices in your home (ex. wireless phones, baby monitors) then try again. I had the same problem, but when I disconnected our baby monitor, it worked. The other wireless devices were interfering with the router's signal.

How to make Blitzz BWA711 Router secure?

The minimum security will be WEP, so the wireless receivers on your pc should match the type of encryption. To give you WEP you select security in the routers menu and choose yourself a mixture of 6 pairs of letters and numbers in any column from 1 to 6 if it gives you 6 options. Once the letters and numbers are chosen, note down the chosen leters and numbers, and enable wep and restart router. Now go to your pc's and and go to the software you use for the recievers and select WEP. You will probably have to tell the programme whether you are on a 'Shared network key' or an 'Open network', depending on your network type (try both until one works if not sure). It will then ask for the numbers and letters you chose and wrote down, enter these and click apply and restart system. The pc's should now connect to the router. Some wireless laptops are unable to recognise WPA type security or similair so WEP is better than nothing.
