If you force to pull out the paper while the printer is on, then theres is problem with your printer, in every printer there is small motor that run all the roller inside the printer if there is paper jam and you pulled out forcefully while printer is on then that is your problem you need to have it fixed or replaced

Usual thing is forcing paper out SOMETIMES tears a small piece off which OFTEN jams in the paper feed sensor of the printers.

It is often hard to see this, so get a bright light and look for that or similar things. There are often several phot-electric sensors that can have paper shreds and shut the printer down.

PAPER JAM

When the paper goes it on the inside of the printer grabs both side which what feeds it through, if it is not tight enough will cause paper jams, open it back up and check the roller to see if it can be adjusted if it cant then you will need to buy a new one, this usualy happens when it has had too many paper jams forcing the gap to increase in size and not allow the collection of one but many, on single sheets of paper the gap wont be small enough to collect 1 sheet anymore.

After removing jammed paper it will not work . I can not see anymore jammed paper. the light is on, but nothing happens

Hello there
You may not see a paper jam.

This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Laserjet 4700 Tray 2 stuck will not pull out.

You possiblely have something loose in the tray or something broke. Find something metal and thin, like a hack saw blade, and stick it through the slot between the drawer and printer and see if you can feel the obstruction, and if so try to move it out of the way. Something is catching on the printer frame and drawer.

Stuck paper in printer

the only solution for this is to dig it out

remove the paper feed cartridge, open the printer up and remove all corona wires, and anything that will slide out

look to see the feed rollers and try lifting on the rollers with your fingers to take any tension off of the top roller always try to remove the paper from the feed area slowly work the paper out if you still see small piece of paper try working them out with a stiff piece of index stock

avoid damaging the rubber rollers with a sharp object and by all means do not force the feed rollers they were designed to move in one direction..towards the copy area a pair of tweezers and hemostats work very well

the fact that the paper went in sideways lends me to believe you have a fed roller problem or an obstruction

once you clear the jam cean the feed rollers with soft cloth and alcohol

good luck

My paper goes to one side when printing starts and it does not print ny work

There may be a scrap of paper stuck in the machine, interfering with normal paper feed. Turn off the printer, and try to force a sheet of paper through the printer by hand. Feed the paper only in the normal direction that the paper goes. Forcing it by hand may push out the stuck scrap. Thin cardstock can be used instead of paper.
