Question about NEC LCD2070NX Monitor

1 Answer

I'm trying to gently open the metal shroud that contains/covers the inverter board of a NEC 2010x. Ive got all the plastic off, but I'm hesitating on which screws need to be removed to get the LCD off the back, is it the 4 on each corner. is that a safe move. I've worked on tube monitors, so I'm not exactly a novice, but I hate to go in via the wrong direction and mess up the delicate cabling I'm seeing. Thanks in advance...

Softgoods, The 4 screws could need to be removed to gain acess to the SMPS/INVERTER board. could be an answer if you find a vid on youtube or give a call to "buddymc" at his website.I personally try NEVER to remove the front plastic "BEZEL" from any lcd panel if possible. Just be very, very careful when removing the ventillated metalwork frame to gain access!! Be certain no printed circuit boards are attached to the frame when removing it. Document with "stills" so you can get it back together without extra parts on bench. 12fixlouie

How can I fix the charging port on my Dell Streak 7?

Ok this is not a easy fix. The replacement port connectors are easy to get and cheap $4-$10. How ever they require that you are able to take apart the tablet unsolder the old port and then solder in the new one.

There are several places that will do this as a service but it ain't cheap. One place shows $299 for board repairs.

If you search for "dell streak charging port repair service" you may find one closer or cheaper. It is possible that you can find a good board by searching for streak repair parts.

Make sure you know what replacement costs are for the unit. On some of these repairs you can come close to spending what you would for a new unit. So be careful about that.

Ok so I moved some fruniture around, and my TV I was gentle, have a double picture at the top of my akai screen, need help on how to fix it

the tv have a 1 or 2 long board that call the LCD inverter boards are dead. These 1 or 2 long LCD inverter boards only job are to help to the CCFL LCD screen tubes to provided a backlight for the tv LCD screen panel to produce a picture.Tries websites like, to buy those 1 or 2 refurbishes LCD inverter boards for the replacement.but if otherwise, The T-CON board is usually under a metal shield cover and sitting on the middle top section of the screen, you will see a very thin connector with VERY SMALL WIRE attached to it, be real careful when you try to remove this connector.
If you can see, there is F1 fuse on the left side of the connector.
Check to see if you do have 12v on it and it is not blown, if blown replace, but do take care in handling the Television set because it contain high voltage.....

How do I replace the backlight inverter in my fujitsu st5112?

You have to remove all the screws on the bottom of the unit except for the ram and hard drive covers smaller screws. After taking the screws out, you have to take the battery out, flip the unit on it's screen and while prying (Very gently) on the bottom part you have to push in 2 tabs on the sides of the battery slot. After doing so, pry open by starting at the part where the USB ports are located. Before prying open all the way use a guitar pick/soft plastic tool to run along the crease by the stylus pen holder, there is a small metal piece that holds the 2 pieces together. Lift from the side with the USB ports and unplug the inverterboards connector that goes to the mother board before opening it all the way. the inverter board it stuck on the stylus pen holder with double sided tape.

Hope this helps.

How to remove headlight bulb from the 2009 accord?

Use a Phillips head screwdriver. For the drivers side, make it easy on yourself and take out the battery. Just undo the clamps and make sure you don't touch metal between the + and -. Then pop off the plastic shroud cover right behind the light; there are two plastic rivets that you pull back on and they pop out. You'll see that the center post moves in and out of the base.

Gently pull back on the electrical connector, twist and remove the bulb holder. Press the tab, pull out the bulb, and put your new one in. Reverse the above steps to button back up.

When you put the plastic shroud cover back, make sure the 'post' is not inserted into the clamps. If it is, the rivet will be bigger than the hole and you'll have problems.

Same thing for the passenger side but much easier and nothing to remove.

How do you open the case of a E153FPc Dell monitor? I need to get at the electronics to try to fix a ''screen going blank after a few seconds'' problem.

Under the the pedestal mount there are four screws. Once you've removed all the screws and the attached devices and cable (most importantly the power cable must be removed). Now you'll need a couple of flat diddle sticks (Radio Shack). Use these under the front bezel in between the the plastic front bezel and the metal rim of the internal screen. You'll actually be prying these two apart until the front plastic bezel snaps away from the rear plastic container. This won't happen if there are any screws left in it. Once you have all the plastic off, it's time to put on your anti static wrist strap and open up the metal containers.

Remove the back on NEC LCD 2010X

Remove the 2 screws from the bottom of the screen at the back of the monitor. Half way between where you removed those screws use a flat tip screwdriver or similar to push the back plastic shell in & up to release the clip holding the 2 parts together. Similar clips also hold the top sections together. Good luck

Wher s d RAM

1) You'll need a small screwdriver and phillips head screwdriver.

2) You will need to stick the small screwdriver head in between the row of function keys and speaker cover. Gently and carefully unclip the speaker cover away from the keypad.

3) Once the speaker cover is off, gently remove the keypad away from the clips that are holding it in place. You'll need a screwdriver to do this. Once this has been done, rest the keypad down without having to disconnect it from the circuit board.

4) You'll see a silver cover to the right. Remove all the small phillips head screws. Lift the cover off and underneath the thin black plastic sheet is your RAM.

5) To remove RAM simply pull the two metal clips that are holding it outwards and the RAM will pop up and then you can slide it out.

6) To replace/add RAM, slide the RAM into it's slot. It can only go in one way. Once it's in, genlty press down on the RAM and it should click back into it's place. Make sure that the metal clips are holding the RAM in it's place.

7) Screw silver cover back on, put keypad back on making sure it is clipped back into it's place, put the speaker cover into the allocatd slots and gently press down and you'll hear it click into place.
