Only red light is blinking on my denon avr 1508

It sounds like you overloaded the Denon avr with too much resistence from the speakers. Please check the total resistence of the speakers before you connect them all. Also check that the speakers or their wires are not shorted!

I moved and set up my AVR-1082. I hooked up the DVD and it showed the video through my Sony TV. I shut it off and hooked my speakers up. I think when I did that I must have hit something on the front of...

Reference to the manuals is highly recommended. All controls and indicators are explained. There may actually be a clue on the front panel. Resetting the microprocessor is a last gasp solution and may only bury you deeper because it will zero out all settings.

I have a Denon AVR 1802 and everything seems to be working properly, but I an mot getting any sound from the unit. When I perform a test tone, I get sound from all the speakers, but I can not get sound...

You could try a total reset of the system. To do so, Press Power while simultaneously pressing Speaker A and Speaker B. When the display flashes at about 1 sec intervals, release all buttons. Then select a desired source as normal and see if it plays as expected.

AVR-1802 5.1 Channels Receiver: My Denon AVR-1802 LED is flashing rapidly. I have...

replace all the electrolytic capacitors in the power supply. i had the exact same problem with mine and once i replaced the capacitors it powered up and stayed on and worked perfect.
these capacitors tend to fail as they're of poor quality.
this fault is very common on denon receivers, especially the later models.

hope this helps?

I am trying to use my Denon AVR-1802 to connect my cable box to my TV. The problem is that I don't have any speakers connected to the 1802, I just want to route the cable box's video and audio to the TV...

connect your analog output from the cablebox to the receiver md/tape in. then connect your tv audio input to the md/tape out of the receiver. or you could just pass it straight from the box to the tv, bypassing the receiver altogether.

Going off by itself

Use a good ohmmeter and check each speakers and wires resistance at the ends you plug into the receiver. The impediance for the receiver is usually printed on a label on the back of the unit. It should be 4 or 8 ohms for each speaker connection. Also, the speakers are marked too. If you read LESS than what the speaker sticker states, 1 or more speakers in that box is shorted (burned out). Replace the speaker in the box that is shorted out by testing each speaker. Usually, the bass (largest) speaker is the 1 that burns out. Also, be sure that the receiver and speakers are the same impediance. The speaker can be higher in ohms than the receiver, BUT NEVER LOWER THAN THE RECEIVER.

Noise coming out of speakers connected to Denon AVR 1908

Check for nearby wireless devices and move them away. -If the audio output from the source device (i.e. DVD, CD player) is digital (i.e. PCM, DTS or Dolby Digital) you're on your own. I'd be willing to bet the output is analog (red and white RCA), because the "beeps" and "exploding sounds" you describe seem like it could be caused by interference. Try replacing the cables. Otherwise the issue is probably with your receiver.

Digital audio cuts out.

Hi,
I have same DD 5.1 tiny "bursts" problem with satellite HD channel. It is probably problem with Crystal DSP (German site): http://forum.digitalfernsehen.de/forum/showthread.php?t=89328&page=3
"Denon bietet Lösung für EX-Flag-Problem bei den Modellen AVR-1602 und AVR-1802 an

07.08.2002(cr)
