Question about Mitsubishi WD-52525 52" Rear Projection HDTV
Call Mitsubishi, 18003322119. They seem to know this is a ubiquitous problem with these sets, and seem willing to cover parts (all new electrical chasis), but not labor. Have to have an authorized repair tech look, verify problem, fax info to Mitsubishi, then will send in chassis for rebuilt one. Cost from what I've seen runs $300-400 in labor. Stinks you have to pay any, since Mitsubishi used bad capacitors in making the T.V. in the first place.

Testimonial: "If you had not suggested calling Mitsubishi I would not be receiving a brand new TV from them. Thank you very much"
The set has some parts that have failed in the dm module and will have to be repaired to get the set to function again
there will most likely be other areas that will need new caps also est 550.00 to 700.00
