Your problem may be due to corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, the camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

I have a Advent 8315 the turns itself off when unplugged even when its fully charged

Try removing your battery, wait 30 seconds and plug it back in and see if it powers up. If not, take your battery out, put it in the freezer overnight, take it out and let it sit in room temperature for 12 hours and then put it back in ....DO NOT put it in right out of the freezer and into the laptop ...let it warm up .... after 12 hours, try it and see if it shows 0% and charging ...if it still shows 100% charged, your battery is shot. Let me know how it goes

I have a dell studio 14. When i plug my ac adapter in to charge my battery, it charges for 5 seconds and then goes to idle. I have a brand new battery and charger, so I doubt it is either of these...

You didn't say, but I assume that you think the battery is not fully charged. Maybe it is?
If the power adapter is putting out the required voltage ~18v. and the battery is new, and still it can't charge, I would suspect the motherboard.

NDS Lite Turns on but then after a few seconds turns itself off

Check the battery is fully charged, its always worth fully charging a battery before you start soyou can route that out.

Check the cable is fully in for the bottem screen, if it is not in the ribbon connector all the or at an angle somtimes this can happen, while checking that you might as well check the other cables as well just incase. let me how it goes.

2005 DR 200, sat over winter. Charged battery,

Sounds like a battery problem mate, give the battery a charge and see how it goes, If it has been sitting for a while it sounds like it might be a carby problem, so clean out your air filter, give her an oil change and give the carby a clean and then try kicking her over with a fully charged battery

Rewinding the tape stops after a few seconds and eject comes on. Also battery dies in 5 minutes.

It does sound as if your battery is giving up the ghost. How long have you had it? If it's an older type is it a NICAD. If it is perhaps it's built up a memory. Fully discharging and fully recharging 3 or 4 times can sometimes give it more life but if it's geting a bit old maybe a new one is in order. Have you tried using the power supply and bypass the batteries altogether? See if the same fault occurs. The halting rewind could be caused by a slipping clutch or slipping belt, Maybe it's time for a service. But tie the rewind problem to the battery going flat it sure sounds like a dying battery to me. By the way, the charger light isn't saying the battery is good and fully charged, it's merely saying it can't charge the battery any more when the light changes color or goes out or whatever indicates a full charge. Battery Problem

I figured out the problem. My AA battery recharger was not making good contact, so although it said the batteries were recharged, this was not the case. After fixing this and getting full recharges, the problem went away.
