Question about Dishwashers

My Maytag dishwasher, Model WU504, series one has served me well for many yrs.now the dishes come out clean, but cloudy, and I can't find a place to put a rinse agent. Have never had to use anything but soap before

Thanks, I have always used the temp boost and dishes are too hot to touch at end. I have the usual soap dispenser but do not see one for the rinse agent which I would like to try. Is there one? I assume the glass magic would go there too. My user manual is missing.

Either your water tempt is lower than before or you have changed dergt.types . cascade / dawn / is very good . use glass majic to clean up the problem .. but you need hot water to make the dergt work . if the 504 has a heating ( tempt boost . yse it and turn off the heat in the dry ,, mm

Cloudy and dirty dishes after washing

I found this for you on YouTube. I don't think that you want to go to the extreme lengths that this guy did, but he does show how to disassemble the inside portion of your washer so you can get to the parts that need cleaning. This should get you back up and running, with sparkling dishes, and a big smile on your face! There are also oyher videos there, some selling products that may help.

The problem is hard water. There is a new product out called the dishwasher filtration system. It filters the water before it enters your dishwasher. It works amazing and has a money back guarantee. You will love the way your dishes look after the first load. It is also very affordable (like 70 bucks). Go to www.dishwasherfilter.com to find out more info.

My dishes are not clean and cloudy

After you have removed the filter and cleaned out any debris, clean the inside of the dishwasher with white vinegar by filling a bowl or large cup with white vinegar and placing it on the rack and running a short cycle with no powder inside.
Use a name brand powder (Cascade or Electrosol) rather than the ultra-cheap powder. Never use gel or tablets in any dishwasher.
If problems continue, you almost certainly have a failed heating element. Replacing the element yourself is not tremendously difficult if you are handy and promise fo disconnect the power before you begin. Otherwise, a service call is the next step.
