Question about HP Color LaserJet 2600n Printer
Go to HP's web site http://www.hp.com, look for the link to drivers and support. Then find the support and drivers for the LaserJet 2600n printer.
Once there, you can download most anything they have for that printer, for free. It only costs if you want them to email it to you on a DVD or CD.
Download all you can, related to the printer system - including manuals. Follow their instructions on how to install the printer, and get it installed properly by following the manuals.
Once you have done that, you can find the portion of the manual which explains how to get that printer to calibrate itself.
Mine will do it on a timed bases. I have it set to calibrate itself every 30 minutes or so, just to ensure that it works fine ... expecially since I have to print guides and manuals for customers, many of whom are government agencies and the like.
So having the printer calibrated on a constant basis is necessary, to ensure that my contract - with my clients - is always exactly right.
