The card may be protected and you will have to go into the menu to find the control to turn the protection off. Or, it might be something simple like the slide switch on the side of the card is in the locked position.

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

On acer aspire5755g lcd flash lines will appear and disappear when clicking on display

Sounds like your lcd is going bad. Try tapping the lcd on the back of the lid and see if the lines flash or appear. Try connecting another monitor to the computer. Borrow a monitor from a neighbor, friend, relative or co-worker and connect it to the computer. If the Borrowed monitor displays ok without the flash lines then the video card inside the computer is good, but your original lcd screen is bad. If the Borrowed monitor displays the flash lines like your lcd screen then your video card inside the computer is bad.

Plug in an external monitor and see if the display shows up on it. It can be any kind of monitor even the old big fat crt monitors as long as it has a vga cable to connect to your computer's vga port. If so that proves your video card is ok. The video will show on most systems when you reboot without you having to do anything. Some systems will require you to hit the FN (Function key) + F1 thru F12. Hold down the FN key then hit the correct key for displaying on the monitor (F1 thru F12). The correct key will normally have CRT/LCD on it or it will have the icon of a display.

A small pink stripe down the left side of my HP laptop display screen. What's up??

It probably means that you're very lucky that your screen is failing and probably NOT the Video Card on *********** board. Either borrow a monitor and hook it to your computer (and see if the line appears on the borrowed monitor...if not, you know your monitor is failing) or take your computer to a friend's place and hook it to his/her monitor which will produce the same troubleshooting answer with the reversed conponents, if the line appears on his otherwise normal LCD, your video card is the problem.

On my monitor screen a small dot was formed whats the problem

If the computer appears to boot up and the hard disk LED flashes then the computer is probably OK.
To determine if your LCD monitor or the video card is faulty, connect another monitor to your computer.
If the image is OK on the other monitor then the LCD monitor is faulty. If you also get a small dot on the other monitor then the video card is faulty and you will need to replace the video card.

I have red line in my laptop model hp pavilion

First, we need to check whether the issue is with the LCD or with the Graphic Card of the Notebook because of which the line appears.

Do the steps below to check this :

Try connecting a Desktop Monitor to the VGA Port of the Notebook and press FN + F4 once the Monitor is turned on.

You should get the Display of the LCD on the Desktop Monitor connected to the Notebook.

If you see the line also on Desktop Monitor connected, the issue is with the Graphic Card.

However, if the Line appears only on the LCD of the Notebook and not on the Desktop Monitor, the issue is with the LCD.

In both the situations, the Notebook needs to be repaired.

Either the LCD needs to be replaced if the issue is with it or the Motherboard needs to be replace if the issue is found to be with the Graphic Card since the Graphic Card will be soldered on to the Motherboard and it cannot be replaced alone.

In both the situations, I recomend you to go for a new Notebook rather than getting this one repaired as you will get all the latest hardware components for the price you get it repaired.

Hope this helps...

When a CompactFlash is loaded, a message of "Card Error. OK" appears and remains on the LCD monitor.

Please follow the procedure below: 1. While the message is displayed, press the center of the controller. 2. The LCD monitor and data panel will turn off . 3. Turn the Main Switch to OFF and remove the CompactFlash card from the camera. 4. If "No Card " message appears at next time the camera is activated in the recording mode, the camera and CompactFlash card are OK. 5. In case that "Card Error. OK" appears again, the CompactFlash card may be faulty. Use other card.
