The Dell E173FP with a flashing power button indicates ablown driver board. We have a step by step guide to the repair postedon our web site at: www.ccl-la.comif you can solder then you should be able to do the repair yourself. Click on the monitor repair section and then the version of the E173FPmonitor you have, the ending letter will be either f, b, or c. If youcan solder then you should be able to do the repair yourself. If youdon't want to do the repair yourself we do offer a repair service for$30 plus return shipping. This is a known issue with this and other Dell and BenQ LCD monitors. Replace the four driver transistors (2SC 5707's) in the invertor section and retouch the solder connections on the transformers. See this website for more info: http://www.lcdinverter.co.uk/env056.htm
