Whirlpool dishwasher (by 2 users)

This dishwasher quit in the middle of a wash cycle,we had to empty it and wash by hand. I thought that maybe the breaker to the dishwasher popped but when checked it had not .I then noticed that there are no lights on the electronic key board .Even when not in use there should be one red LED that is lit. It almost seems as if there is no power to the dishwasher. Is there some type of backup safety switch or breaker on the dishwasher itself that I could reset?
