How do I restore my Zoostorm desktop computer back to factory settings

I will take the computer is till running. There's different manufacturers approach when come to restoration. HP for example, have a partition for restoration OS and can be accessed when the computer starts. Typically F10 or F2. In addition they have in All Programs a utility in which you can (and must do) make DVD Recovery disk.

Make sure you have the windows licence key at hand always. Keep in mind that factory restoration means a clean state for the PC and all documents or files you have will be be erased so a backup is in order.

I personally not have your brand, but they're similarity on how restoration works because the manufacturer have to give an opportunity to restore the PC guided with Microsoft standards.

I hope this give you where to star looking. Good luck!

    Restore to factory settings

If you did not create a set of factory restore cd\dvds when you purchased the computer, then you can hit the F11 key during post (while the HP screen is displayed) to boot to the restore partition. You will want to chose restore to factory settings, this will cause the computer to ask are you sure a couple of times before proceding.

    Hope this helps

How do I restore this computer to factory settings (to re-sell)?

HP puts a hidden partition on the disk so you can do a full restore to factory settings. Generally you access it at boot up. At start up you should see a brief black and white message that says hit F? to do a system restore. Do that and follow instructions.

    Hope this information will help.

    Clean and restore my computer

Your compaq should have come with a factory CD that will allow you to restore the system.

Insert the cd and restart the computer. It should boot from the cd and ask you if you would to repair the installation (or something similar).

Without the HP CD you can pretty much hang it up with a copy of Windows.
