My guess is maybe during the "upgrade" to Sierra the game may not have properly transitioned over. I would simply uninstall the game, restart the mac, re-download the game and reinstall it.

you maybe have deleted them withot relising. look in the recycling bin

you need to contact Zinga the maker of the game and they will credit you for the items you have lost. One of the reasons why the game freezes sometimes is that they have servers for the game all over the world and they back them up according to USA time which means if you are somewhere else in the world like me ( australia) the game freezes when you want to play it the most

You are suggested to clean of cashes from the Windows drive and use firefox instead of internet explorer if yet it won't get smooth than it the hardware problem probly of internet speed. or if wireless than Signals coming less.
