Try and run the test program that is an option on your printer. This is the one that cleans the head and is supposed to clear the jet nozzles. You should see that option when you try and print. Usually it will appear under "properties" Check out ll the options till you find this test sequence. Best of Luck

If the optics are clean (use lint free cloth on 4 rows of black thingys underside of lid)
Then it sounds like the yellow drum needs to be replaced, when printing in word I'm guessing that you have it set to B/W prints hence no colour is engaged, no lines
