Question about GE JSP46 Electric Kitchen Range
I need to know the correct wiring hookup for the door lock motor. there are 2 yellow wires that i believe is common and hook up on the com terminal of the micro switches. I need to know what color wire goes to the terminal of the top and bottom micro switches. I think the 2 extra wires are blue and red

GE parts folks says that the wiring diagram is either taped inside the back control panel, or someplace else inconvenient. Try that first, and then perhaps you'll find the information. Nada on the net.

The RED and the BLACK wires are the HOT leads. This means they each have 120VAC on them. You simply match the corresponding colors (red to red, black to black). DO NOT connect them ALL together. The WHITE wire is neutral (0 VAC). In a 3-wire configuration, the neutral is grounded to the equipment cabinet. The following link explains:

Hello, welcome to Fixya.
I understand you are replacing your bake element and are uncertain of wire placement, correct ? My first suggestion would be to locate the tech sheet/wiring diagram, or tracing the yellow wire. I suspect the 2 black are "hot" and the yellow (maybe with a green tracer on it?) is ground/earth...though I don't have a diagram either. Let me know what you find and I'll try to help you going forward. Good luck and thanks for choosing FixYa today.
