Hard drive Compatabilaty

That would depend on the motherboard. But, if you computer was made for windows XP then I would say that should be fine. To be sure, just put the part number of the old one into your search engine and it will tell you the drive interface you need. The ATA 100 is the most likely interface you need.

Need information please

This mainboard supports UltraDMA 66/100. UDMA is a technology that accel-erates the performance of devices in the IDE channel. To maximize performance, install IDE devices that support UDMA and use 80-pin IDE ca-bles that support UDMA 66/100.

ASUS VIA KT133

Your motherboard does NOT support SATA drives, without an added SATA controller. It does support PATA drives, such as the Samsung SP2514N and the Seagate PATA drive you listed, as well as any other PATA drive. A PATA drive may be referred to as PATA, IDE, ATA100, ATA133, or even ATA66, but not SCSI, Ultra320, U320, or SATA, SATA II, SATA100, SATA300, etc.

The Seagate drives are easy to identify, their model number ends in AS if it is a SATA drive, and just A if it is a PATA drive.

ATA133 refusing to be accepted

Obviously mobo error, have you tried re setting bios from 'JBAT1' terminal, jumper from pins 1-2 to pins 2-3 then back on 1-2. Start up again and set time and select the auto detect HDD in standard bios settings see if correctly identified. save settings and restart pc

Can't find the cause for clicking noise and BSOD

From what I've read, the "clicking" is a sign that the hard drive is about to fail. The cause is using two devices (hard drives, CD-ROM drives, etc.) with different read/write speeds on the same IDE cable. For instance, you MUST not have an ATA100, ATA66, or ATA33 hard drive or CD-ROM drive on the same IDE cable as a faster ATA133 hard drive. Hope this helps
