it could be high voltage cap located by flyback,if you have back off of tv and turn tv on,you will see green led's turn on,(on the board)if they turn off there is a small blue high voltage cap hidden under glue(i believe it's a 102 cap)that would be the one change,99% of time that is what will fix problem

It sounds as if you have a grid to anode short that is inconsistent. I would try to get the warranty company to just go ahead and replace all three tubes and be done with it. But, this is only my opinion, and past experiences with these sets. An aside; the more brightness level you ask of the tubes, the more this can be aggravated, as a general rule. Try different sources and program content and see if this is the case. Those scenes with more luminance (brightness) will stress the tubes more than low-level or dark scenes.
