this solution also worked for me. I called Maytag and they insisted I give them all my personal info before they could answer my questions... once I did that they took 2 seconds to tell me I needed a service call I asked her why she did not tell me this 10 minutes ago??? I thanked her for wasting my time and hung up.

awsome help here... thanks for saving me a service call as I live 40 minutes from the nearest town with a service center.

I didn't want to leave this site without thanking tech17 for solving my problem with my Maytag stove/oven..Thank you so much......after a power outage the control panel went blank and nothing I tried to do to restore it helped and my sunk thinking that I would have another expense I couldn't afford...I am disabled and live on so little money it's a literal miracle I still have a roof over my head...not to mention a stove/oven to cook on! I hadn't been able to use the oven all week...thank you, thank you, thank you...pressing "stop time and cancel keypad at the same time for three seconds" restored it. Again, this was more of a blessing than you can imagine...thank you.

F11= problem communicating with display
Suggest you unplug unit, peel off front of display and clean this and contacts thoroughly.

Replace - all should be good.

Frigidaire oven won't work. top range works fine, but digital clock and digital display stopped working which works oven, so oven also will not work f11 code

Hello steve o - Typically error code F11 indicates a shorted keypad. Try resetting the range by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. This usually will clear most false error codes. Wait approximately ten minutes and if the error code does not clear contact a professional to move forward accurately. Most likely the EOC on the range will need replacing.

I have a GE Spacemaker XL from 1998. It was working fine yesterday but today the display window shows all asterisks. I have unplugged it for several minutes in an effort to reboot it. It asks for a...

Wow! sounds really weird. Possibly Microprocessor on Main Timer board. No way to really diagnose other than substituting or replacing the main board. Unfortunately a bit pricey. Nothing else i can think of that would actually cause asterisks in the display. I really do not like to refer them, but may need to call GE since it is one of their units. Maybe they could give you some guidance. Mostly, over the phone, they just insist on sending someone out. So they can bill you more.

Bake, broil & clean buttons do not function, all others (timer, cook time, end time, clock) work fine. Therefore I cannot light the oven. The stove burners work fine.

check the main power terminal block and make sure the power is correct.if the power is correct then you will need to change the main control board.how ever unplug the unit and check all the wiring to the control board and the bake and broil elements.if the unit is gas then you may need to replace the ignitor unit if it does not draw enough power during the light up it will not open the gas valve.replace the main main control board still applies if the other items check out fine.

How do I start the cooker on low?

The manual says "When your corningware slow cooker is initially plugged into a wall outlet, the display will show"0". This display indicates the programmed number of hours for which a meal will cook.

The slow cooker can be programmed in one hour increments from 1 to 10 on your digital display. The number of hours may be selected by pushing the COOK TIME button until the desired cooking time appears.

If 1,2,3,4,5 or 6 hours are selected, then the slow cooker will operate on HIGH setting. If 7,8,9 or 10 hours are selected, then the slow cooker will operate on the low setting.

To start the cooking cycle press the ON/OFF button. To interrupt the cooking cycle at anytime, press the ON/OFF button. If the ON/OFF button is pressed when the digital display shows "0", then the slow cooker will automatically start on the WARM setting.

When the full cooking cycle is complete, your corningware slow cooker will automatically switch to the warm setting, to keep food at a warm serving temperature."

If, after you plug the slow cooker into the outlet, the COOK TIME button does not work, unplug the cooker, hold both ON/OFF and COOK TIME buttons down, plug into wall socket and wait till the display flashes. Release both buttons and the slow cooker buttons should both work.

On startup the display shows " presionar clock " and leypad is locked

The first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.

If that doesn't work, leave it unplugged for maybe an hour.

To allow us to help you effectively (at no charge), please post a
NEW problem to FixYa, and please include your brand name and the full model number from the tag in or on the unit, your symptoms, as well as the answers to these questions:

- Did you ever spray cleaner on the controls?

- If it's an over the range type. do you always turn on the hood vent exhaust fan when you cook on the stove top?

Kenmore Select Clean Self-Cleaning Electric Range Model 6659580

This means you hace a problem with your clock. Take the back off the stove and then pull the ribbon connector off the clock and clean the terminals. If that doesnt fix it replacing the clock should fix it.
