If it's a turntable with a usb connector, those connections are usually outputs only. USB on a turntable is used to output the audio to a computer to rip albums to digital audio.

Go to the following link : Download Drivers of Intel D865GBF and select an Operating System under the Select an Operating System Drop-down menu (say, Windows XP Professional).

Now under Select a Download Type drop-down menu select Drivers, which will give you drivers for your motherboard model. Amongst them, find the AUDIO driver and click over it to open a new page where the Download option will be available.

I have this message apprear on my laptop when i try and play sound "Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device...

try playing the sound file with other media players, if still not playing reinstall ur audio driver either by dowloading the driver from internet or by installing it from ur driver cd.
if ur audio device driver is integrated or plug n play device then,
step 1:open control panel
step 2:open 'sound speech and audio devices'
step 3: in the property menu of audio devices select drivers from the tab
step 4:select uninstall driver.
step 5: restart ur computer and the audio device will be reinstalled.
if it is the problem with ur windows media player, then step 1:select option/preferences from the menu.
step 2:select devices from the tab.
step 3:test all the devices by selecting each one at a time to play ur sound file.

I have installed the vga and audio drivers. But my multimedia audio controller shows yellow question mark in device manager. Kindly help me.

Make sure to run the inf or motherboard drivers. You may have the wrong audio driver installed. Or I should say the wrong setup. There are usually a couple of audio options and they will use differant drivers. So if you grab the wrong one or it isn;t reconized by the motherboard a the right one it may install but not work and you see the yellow question mark.

If you don;t have the install cd then go to hp and click on support and then follow the instructions to select your model to get to its support page. Oce there you can click on drivers and downloads and grab the inf stuff and any other audio drivers.

Usually the inf clears this up but if nothing else you can just run the setup on the other audio drivers. It won;t hurt anything if they are wrong. Just try running it, see it if makes any noise and if not think a few nasty thoughts and try the next one ;-]
