Question about Medion MD-40954 Notebook
Hi I have a Medion mid2020 MD-41060, it starts with no problems but switches itself off after about 5 mins. it will turn straight back on afterwards and run again for about 5 mins then off it goes again. can you offer any advise ?
You don't need to take it all apart to get at the heat sink.
Take the strip off under the display (slides too the left to unlock) remove the keyboard. You will see a metal plate that covers the fan. (the fan is fixed too this plate. Remove the plate and the heat sink is underneath. You will probably find the fins are packed with lint. If you take the heat sink out be careful of the display cable that is bent around it and regrease the cpu when you replace it.
