The three phase power meter will have sensors or terminals to run TWO of the three load leads through. In addition you will have a voltage input or two.

The exact connection will depend on the model of your device.

Only two load leads are needed since the third will have the sum of the other two leads (including the phase angle in the sum).

Im trying to wire up a 3phase 480 volt contater with a 120 volt coil contacter didnt come with any drawings not sure how to wire it up using a remote start stop button

If you are trying to wire the coil only you wire it just like a light bulb and the light switch would be for remote operation. The 3phase power in will go to T1,T2,T3 and your load goes to L1,L2,L3. If you are working with a starter and not a contactor the hookup is different. A starter is a contactor with an overload attached to it. A starter hook up is too difficult for me to explain in this format and I would suggest getting someone to do some hands on instruction. Hope this helps, good luck.

Just bought a s8000 3phase, straight petrol pramac generator, can I run my large 3 phase mixer and a 240v hand whisk at the same time?

Look at the name plate ratings on your devices, they should give you the KVA load of the device. Add all of these up. If the load exceeds the output of the generator, then it wont work

Wiring diagram for Dayton IKRT9 portable electric heater

Sounds like it's the on/off switch.
what colour are they. . Usually one is the power supply to the switch and the other will be the return from the switch to the load.

Check these wires with with a multi meter.

if you have a 3phase motor it will only run using 3 phase power no matter what voltage or you can get a phase converter but they are pricey and varies with what horsepower your motor is

I have a 3phase electric motor 440 v amps.7.6 and drive thats 440

Allowing for start up current I would put a 16amp 3 phase breaker/trip in circuit. If this trips then use a 20amp.

Only have two phase power power company refuses to install three phase can i run my hobart h600-t mixer serial#31-1068-582 ml# 104385 with just two phase?

first thing, there is no 2 phase pwr. there are only single phase or three phase.you have 2 choices either you can convert mixer from 3phase to 1phase which will be expensive, or you can get a rotophase which will make 1phase pwr to 3phase pwr to run mixer, dont go with static phase inverter, only the rotophase inverter

How do I wire a 30amp 3phase 250 volt receptacle for proper phase rotation ie x,y,z on the device with phases a,b,c in the panel?

You will either need a phase rotation meter to identify the rotation, or, if it is a motor, reverse any two leads to spin the motor the opposite direction (this works on single phase, too).

i hope this is helpful

Wrong voltage rating

Hello. If the unit is rated 460v, 3phase, the only way you can get it to meet your supply of 208v, 3phase, is:
a) have a transformer installed to make 460 from your supply by an electrician, or call your power company and see if 460 could be supplied to your building, but it would only be for that machine.
or
b) replace the heating elements for the 208v supply, have the pump motor checked to see if it will work on 208v, and a control transformer for the control circuit, as well as all the wiring related to the pump and heaters, as on 208v, they will draw more current than on 460.
so, can it be done? yes. Is the expense worth it? only you can answer that, However I would suggest that you resell that machine, and get the correct one from the start.

Hope that helps, and thank you.
