I have an electric range that I purchased in 2003 that made a loud pop and flash last night during baking. After the stove popped the lights went out and I could not bake or cook anymore. Does anyone know what could be the problem and how to fix it?

-   The same thing happened to our 2003 frigidaire electric range last night, when we were using the broiler. There was a pop and a bright glow. We quickly turned off the oven. Now, there is a burned out spot on the broiler coil.-   tas1

ok cory it sounds to me like your bake element burned in two looks like someone is running an electric welder when that happens more than likely you breaker tripped open your oven door and look at the bake and broil elements see if that's the case then reply but don't rate me till were done please
