you are extremely lucky you didn't permanently damage the Disc drawer mechanism. Forcing it like that can change the timing in the mechanism and it requires you to disassemble and reassemble it to fix the problem. Again you are very lucky you didn't permanently damage the device
On the front of your DV player, there is a compartment where the DV is placed.
Check to see if there is a little hole in the front of that compartment.
If there is, take a paper clip and expand the ends.
Place the end of the paper clip in the hole and move it around and into the hole.
This should release the compartment drawer to open.
If the drawer is stuck- half way out, do not force. There is a small band that directs the opening and closing. Forcing it will break it. If this has not helped, relate to the manual.
Hope this has helped. Dana
A stuck drawer indicates a jammed mechanism or the presence of a mechanical drawer lock.
Locate your DVD player's manual Eject button. It is usually a small hole located underneath the DVD drawer.
Insert a stiff wire-such as a paperclip or safety pin-into the hole. Push gently and the drawer should open partway. Gently pull the drawer the rest of the way open.
Take the DVD player aparts, take out DVD disc out of the drawer, check the open/close drawer button again.Same result indication on the screen say is open infact it close. The motor the help open and the dvd drawer it dead.Need the motor replaced.
You may force eject the CD tray by inserting a paper clip inside the small slot or you may force restart your computer by pressing the power button for 5 seconds.
The solution turned out to be just pushing the DVD drawer in and popping it out a few dozen times. Probably not the best solution, but the DVD player works and it slides smoothly now.
