Good morning, Its kind of funny, I am off to make repairs on a evaporator cooler this day. There is not a lot to these coolers, a motor, belt drive, water pump, and a large blower wheel. You say it does not seem to be as profiicinent as it used to be, and it cuts out sometimes, or does it cut off? The 1st thing to check on these coolers, is the V-Belt.They tend to wear out quickly and will cause the motor to run much slower then normal. In stead of calling anyone out we can solve this together. If you can get to the unit If is on the roof, in a window or where ever it is, there should be a way to shut off the power at the unit or you can use the switch as long as no one comes along and turns it on if you are working on it.But, look at the belt to see how loose it is and if it has cracks on the inside all around. They should be changed twice a year. To take the belt off set by step is to grasp it with your best hand and look at the large pulley.Apply pressure to the belt to the inside of it as you turn the large pulley away from you, the belt will come right off. It is much better to let it come off at the large one 1st, then it just falls right off. On the belt, you will find a number with a couple of letter on it the belt size, such as 4L370, or A-36, and so on. Take it to an appliance parts store to get one or even a auto parts place may be able to match up the size. When you put this back on, put it around the motor pulley 1st and on top of the larger pulley. You will notice it is tighter now but that's normal. With the belt starting to go on, turn the large pully with pressure on belt and it will go on. It will be harder to install as it is new. This will solve the problem. You will notice it will move more air and run faster. There will be a bid difference. Let me know how it goes, Sincerely,
Shastalaker7
PS To get inside to do this is to take a panel one of 4 and you should be able to lift or slide it up and out.Look it over to see.

Can I just replace fan or do I have to replace whole unit as fan stop working

If you buy it from the manufacturer it will be a whole unit. Best idea. If you are electronically proficient you can probably find the fan online cheap.

My Sharp Micro Convection Model R1870 fan behind the touch panel keeps running for 50 seconds after the microwave turns off,. this is not the vent fan. it also runs for 50 seconds when you turn the...

If the fan seems to run even after the microwave had completed the cycle, then it is possible that the drive to the fan is having a time delay. Also it has to be made sure that the magnetron has been cut OFF power or else it is not a good situation. You will have to remove the control panel and check on the board, check the drive to the fan, since the processor cuts off the fan and magnetron at the same time the fan circuit must be traced. Look to the circuit after identifying the fan wiring and back check using a multimter if you are able to trace. If not take help as this can be harmful in case the microwave works till the fan cuts off. A faulty capacitor on the board can create this time delay.

The diagrams above may not be exactly what you are needing. But they will be close. Usually the diagram for the furnace is on the inside of the blower fan door. Two things come to mind. It seems like your limit switch(s) are cutting out, then in, then out, etc and may have failed totally. These are in the system to prevent the temperature in the furnace from getting too high. Why they are cutting in and out may be due to the lack of sufficient air passing through the furnace. This can be caused by, 1. the fan speed is too slow, or 2. the air filter is needing to be changed. I am not sure how proficient you are with electrical troubleshooting. I would (turn off all power to furnace) find the limit switches (usually at the top of the heating elements) and check to see (with an ohm meter) if the switches are allowing the meter's current to flow through them. Your meter should read near zero, if not, then I would replace the switch with an exact one. If you are proficient with electrical troubleshooting, I would place the furnace in the "call for heat" position, with the power on, (be careful, this stuff can hurt) and I would see if I have voltage at the heating elements, and I would check with my voltmeter across the two leads on each limit switch if there is voltage present. If there is voltage present, then the switch is probably ****.
Depending on the furnace you have, you might have a number of switches that control the heating elements, these units are usually time delay and if they fail, you should replace them with the same delay time. I hope this helps.

check the cpu fan ..is it working?
or might be cpu fan not sitting properly upon the the processor.
when the processor gets over heated it just cuts down or hangs there itself.

Large oven doesn't heat up. Heating element gone??

Hi, In a word yes. As for who you can contact, I'd suggest only an authorized b/s/h (bosch/thermador/gaggenau) service provider. I used to be one for over 10yrs. but now work exclusively for sears...I'm not sure if I made a good choice or not yet, lol ! I digress. It is quite possibly not even the element as the gaggenau have cut-outs (they are actual thermal fuses that cannot be reset, they must be replaced) built into the bake circuit that can open often times. This of course unless you're certain the bake element is defective. Check your local directory under appliance service or a vendor who sells that line may be well equiped to direct you for quality service in someone they trust and are proficient. Hope that helps, good luck. macmarkus :)

Just leave the jumper on the switch, it will not hurt for the fan to run continuous. just be sure fan shuts down when the ignition switch is turned off.

RECIEVER TURNS ON THEN OFF FOUND BLOWN FUSE STR-DE625

Disconnect all speakers, then test power. if it cuts off, your receiver needs serviced. If it stays on, Check all your speaker wires for shorts and connections at speakers. If they seem ok, re-install one speaker wire at a time and test power. once you find the speaker that's causing the problem, replace the wire and connect a different speaker (that you know works) and test again. If it cuts out, the problem is in the receiver and needs serviced. If it plays, put the original speaker on the new wire and test again, If it cuts out, it's a bad speaker or internal crossover depending on the model. Unless you are very proficient with a meter, this is the easiest way to check your connections. If you still have questions, post a comment and I'll help some more Hope this helps
