    Thanks Coolguy,

However, I cannot even open the outbox it just comes up with a msg "Opertation failed. Try again".

I have tried to re format the phone or whatever you call it and that didn't work either. I haven't even got my phone hooked up to my computer. Sorry a bit computer iliterate when it comes to things like that. My phone is a Nokia 6280.

I hope the following information helps you out regarding your phone. I found this information in the users manual for your phone. I know there is a lot of information to follow but it a try, step by step and good luck!

Delete messages

To delete messages one by one, select Menu > Messaging > Delete
messages > By message and the folder from which you want to delete
messages. Scroll to the desired message, and select Delete. If one or
more messages are marked, select Mark. Mark all the messages you
want to delete, and select Options > Delete marked.
To delete all messages from a folder, select Menu > Messaging > Delete
messages > By folder and the folder from which you want to delete the
messages. Depending on the folder, the phone asks if you want to delete
the messages. To delete, select Yes. Otherwise, if the folder contains
unread messages or messages which are waiting to be sent, the phone
asks whether you want to keep them. To keep these messages, select
To delete all messages from all folders, select Menu > Messaging >
Delete messages > All messages > Yes.

Write and send a multimedia message
The wireless network may limit the size of MMS messages. If the inserted picture
exceeds this limit, the device may make it smaller so that it can be sent by MMS.
1. Select Menu > Messaging > Create message > Multimedia.
2. Enter your message.
Your phone supports multimedia messages that contain several
pages (slides). A message can contain a calendar note and a business
card as attachments. A slide can contain text, one image, and one
sound clip; or text and a video clip. To insert a slide in the message,
select New; or select Options > Insert > Slide.
To insert a file in the message, select Insert or Options > Insert.
You can fetch images and video clips from the Gallery, or to take
them directly from the viewfinder, select Options > Insert > New
Image or New video clip.
3. To view the message before sending it, select Options > Preview.
4. To send the message, select Send; or press the call key
5. Enter the recipient’s phone number in the To: field. To retrieve a
phone number from Contacts, select Add > Contact. To send the
message to multiple recipients, add the desired contacts one by one.
To send the message to persons in a group, select Contact group and
the desired group. To retrieve the contacts to which you recently sent
messages, select Add > Recently used.

Send a message

Copyright protections may prevent some images, music (including ringing tones),
and other content from being copied, modified, transferred, or forwarded.
When you finish writing your message, to send the message, select
Send, or press the call key. The phone saves the message in the Outbox folder, and sending starts. If you select Save sent messages > Yes, the sent message is saved in the Sent items folder.

Note: When the phone sends the message, the animated is shown.
This is an indication that the message has been sent by your device to
the message center number programmed into your device. This is not
an indication that the message has been received at the intended
destination. For more details about messaging services, check with your service provider.

It takes more time to send a multimedia message than to send a text
message. While the message is being sent, you can use other functions on the phone. If an interruption occurs while the message is being sent, the phone tries to resend the message a few times. If these attempts fail, the message remains in the Outbox folder. You can try to resend it later.

Select the message and press update button. This should fix the issue. If it doesn't then go to C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Phone Browser\Nokia E70\Messages\Outbox\

And delete all the messages which you don't want from the outbox in the pc that will delete it from the phone too.

Give your phone a restart.IF the problem persists then reinstall the pc suite and this issue will be solved.

Thank you for using fixya.

    HI Sue,

Let me explain it more clearly. What you need to do is first connect the phone to your pc and then open up my computer.Double click the C drive to open it>Similarly open the Documents and settings folder>open the Messages folder>Open the outbox folder and you will see some files in it.They are the the stuck messages so you need to delete them all. After that close the windows, disconnect the phone and restart it.The outbox should be empty on your phone now.If not then reinstall the Nokia Pc suite.

While sending text message it says memory full delete some data?

This is because when you send the message it stores up in outbox and then only it wil be sent,As your phone memory is full no space is there for storing in the outbox. So please delete the inbox and draft and savedmessages so that you will not get this message again.

My phone will only send multi media messages?

I did more searching and found the answer! Clean out your inbox and outbox, and your phone should go back to sending normal messages. You might need to restart it afterward.
