Motorola razr v3 won't charge

Phone is less than 3 months old...I have switched out battery and charger, but I still get "unable to charge" on screen when it is plugged into ac charger. I have tried cleaning the contact points with alcohol with no luck. The phone dot indicator is still white on phone under battery. Can you help?

Have you tried measuring the output voltage on the charger?? if not... use a multimeter to check if there is a voltage coming out on the charger.. if there is... you doomed.... the charging module (charging IC) on your phone is fckd..

Check the contacts between phone and battery, if necessary align or clean. Are you using original Motorola charger? This solved my problem; I was trying to charge it with one of those "universal" chargers.

Hope this helps!

My motorola V3 shows <unable to charge>

Remove battery, clean contacts between battery and phone, clean charging port, and also be sure to use an original Motorola charger instead of one of those "universal" type chargers.

My Razr v3 won't turn on and it's only 2 months old. the battery was fully charged in another phone. I've tried holding the on button down, plugging in the charger and replacing the battery but the phone...

Well you seem to have done the hard bit.Either charger or battery you`ve tested.

Just had one thought,How long was the battery out of the phone?

So put the phone in a warm room for 2-3 hrs.As condensation can form in the phone. Firstly remove the battery and check there`s no moisture anywhere.

The last solution I can think of is to try a battery in the phone ,plug the charger in and try charging for 3 hours. It can take time for the graphics to appear.

Well after it not being the battery, charger it will be the phone. So take it back to your retailer and ask for a replacement.

Hope i`ve helped!

Battery won't charge. Charger works on other Motorola phones.

More than likely the battery is done for...

I myself have so many phones that have batteries that will no longer charge or much less retain a 5 minute charge due to them being on ice for the longest time.

Best bet is to replace the battery with a new/used one.

Sounds like a software issue, return/exchange the phone to your service provider.

Sounds like the charger's defective. Did it get dropped accidentally? Take both the phone and the charger back where you got it. They should fix the problem for you. Battery in the phone is probably dead and just needs charging.
