Question about Niko OTP-3211W 32 in. LCD Television
Niko lcd 32 2 years old.after few hours of work each day start getting some horisontal stripes ,picture is gone and stripes are in all colors.turn off tv for half hour and picture is back...it keeps doing that everyday.any solution.thx
Well I was inspired by reading this to dig out my old Niko TV - it took quite a while to disassemble - a couple at each side for the input connectors are deeply inset - and hint don't take off thefinal screws off the stand while its leaning on it in any fashion.. -
Anyway. before checking further I turned it on and it works ! Clearly a ventilation problem IMO.. What a pain. I agree there is a place which when cut out is where a fan would go. I'll probably put a computer fan on there - I have several lying around

My problems are that the tuner looses the stored channels and the power will not turn on unless I turn off the main power for a short time. Anyone have any of these? I've had this lcd for 3 years. As a pc monitor it's very good, but the tuner is getting to be too much.

This is just a poorly designed TV, it has thermal problems, if you notice there is room for a fan at the top, but they left it out. I have had the power supply die and I fixed it, no help from Niko. I have resolved to let this tv die when it is ready now and move on. An expensive lesson on early adoption of cheap off-brand products.

Mine was doing sorta the same thing. I think it is a called bad manufacturing....cheap components. As I stated with my "lemon tv" problems, it may end up with the same problems I'm having now.
I had to turn the power on and off on the back myself and of course, Niko was no help at all. If it is under warranty, call them right away and get help. Mine was out of warranty.

Same problem here too. Happens everyday now until power is off for a while then picture is stable. Thought it was interference, but I'll look into the overheating issue a bit more closely.
