Question about Maytag Microwave Ovens
the reason that your plate is not turning is because there is a drive motor under this that drives the plate.
what you need to do is to unplug the microwave and turn it over and unscrew the bottom of the microwave now turn it back over and lift the top section off or almost all of the way off and you will see the drive motor and shaft assembly now simply disconnect the wires that is connected to it and mark where they went to so you do not forget and remove the motor from the shaft it should just slide out
now get a new motor reconnect the shaft to the motor and reconnect the motor and the wires and you are finished here>
now just put the cover on the microwave and replace the screws and plug in the unit and test and you are finished ok?
I hope that this is verey helpful for you
Best regards Michael
