On the rear of the motor unit you will find the smart/learn button. Press and immediately release this and then walk over to your keypad and key in any 4 digit code you like and press enter.

Garage door will not go up using remote or keypad only with wired unit inside garage. Batteries were changed in remote and keypad.

You need to reset the remote units. There should be a button on the overhead unit that operates the door opener that will tell you what to do. To set my key pad I push the button and punch in my code then it flashes three times then I push the button on the opener again and the door will go up or down. You do the same with the car remote as well.

The remote does not work on the outside of the garage. The batteries have been replaced, and I did reprogram the remotes. What's next?

My key pad outside I had to program by punching in my code and pushing in a button on the overhead unit and holding it till the light flashes two or three times. It took two of us because I am not fast on my feet to get up there.

Liftmaster door opener

Try using one of your other buttons on the remote , this is only if you have a 2 or 3 button remote , Sometimes the contacts wear out from daily use on the remote ! If that does,nt workout for you then you can purchase on ebay a liftmaster /chamberlain universal receiver ! The receiver is 1/3rd the cost of a logic board and performs the same function! You can plug the receiver overhead of your opener and you will need to wire the receiver with low voltage wire that comes with the receiver to the receiver and then to the #1 and #2 terminals on your garage door opener and that's it! They work right out of the box and it will cost you around $ 20- 25 dollars theres no programming neede unless you need to program a key pad , Just make shure that you get a receiver that has the same frequency as your remote ! Good luck ,I hope I was able to help you! Sincerely Glenn

Key pad not working. Garage door will open with

I'm confused about the battery you replaced inside the garage but you can try programming the keypad just to see.

Locate the smart/learn button on the back of the motor unit near where all those white wires go. Press and immediately release it and then walk over and key in your 4 digit code and press enter. If this doesn't work and you know the battery inside the keypad is good, you have a bad keypad.

OLD garage door opener

Sounds like you have the keypad that is hardwired.

To program the keypad, first unplug the garage door opener from the electrical outlet. Next, remove the nameplate from the console that the keypad plugs into and locate the program/operate switch. Flip the switch to program. Next, enter your desired four-digit PIN into the keypad. Slide the switch back to operate and plug the garage door opener back in. The keypad should be programmed.

These instructions may not work if the keypad is some other manufacturers.
