On your keyboard if there is a button or two for volume check to see if the volume is on from there. you can also check the volume from your desktop just go to your taskbar.

Check the Mute button make sure it is not selected, also check the volume level, move the volume setting higher or to max.
Check the audio chip is OK by plugging headphones into the audio out/headphone socket.
If it is OK then most likely the speakers are faulty and they need to be replaced.

Just received a new Asus VE247H led monitor. Can't seem to get audio to work properly through onboard monitor speakers. Is there a driver out there that needs to be installed? (PC is Gateway GM5420)

The monitor will have a connection for audio.
The audio comes from your computer.
Must connect cable from your computer speaker out connection to your monitor.

How to use BA7500G on another computer

I have the same problem except i'm using a macbook and i'm trying to connect the speakers. My macbok accommodates optical digital audio output, but you have to buy a  a standard toslink cable with a toslink mini-plug adapter.  Since the speaker input is a digital coaxial (not fiber, optical) you have to buy a Digital Fiber Optical (Toslink) to Digital Coaxial (S/PDIF) Converter.  i haven't tried it, but i hope this solves our problem. i have the toslink now i just have to buy the converter. good luck to you.

Speaker problems

First, make sure the speakers are plugged into the center green connector.

Second, go to Gateway's website and download the latest audio drivers for your system and reinstall them. That should do it.

My speakers on my Dell computer quit working.

1) check audio driver is installed in system or not it may have some one remove audio driver.
2)If driver installed check volume is not mute.
3)If all thing is ok check speaker in another system by connecting it.
4) If spk is working in another system. it means sound card of that system is faulty.
