Hi my name is Roety,
I can help you with your issue ,
Most likey you need the convergence ICs replaced.
A repairman would charge about $350 to replace them
Voltage checks and a visual would be needed to determine exactly what is bad in your TV

TV has RED and GREEN colors distorting the color output of the TV. Can not simply adjust color and hue. Red and Green still remains controlling and dominant. How do I fix this?

If it does this on all inputs then it is the tv itself. You can try different sources and cables to see if the problem is not the tv. If the problem is the tv I would suggest having the tv repaired. It looks like a nice unit so it would probably be worth fixing. I would find a reputable local shop to take it to.

Green & red tint

Most likely nothing you can do to fix this. CRT TVs use 3 colors to make an image on the screen (Red, Green, and Blue). If you're only seeing red and green then chances are the blue has stopped working. You can replace certain parts in the TV but for a 27" TV you'll probably end up paying more for the repair than a new TV.

I don't recommend taking the cover off and trying to fix TV yourself without training. CRTs have a lot of electricity stored in them (even after turned off) and you could accidentally electrocute yourself.

Color fading, orangy red, video adjustments don't fix.

if it is a tube type unit you may not find a new tube they are almost extinct ,
also, most tube malfunctions are caused by improper voltage, only a qualified tech should work on the high voltage section of a tube tv,,, it can kill you even if it has Not Been Plugged in for a whole year

re-post with the make and model number for further assistance

use the advanced options page and reset the factor blue and red convergence defaults then do re apply the auto color defaults color at first it seemed very red (which is good because red was the missing factor in the green picture) but after reseting all the color and tints to the normal ranges I then reset the color auto correct again and all seems fine.
