A very likely situation could be that the VHS DECK ASSEMBLY has a jam or a problem. Remove the case of the unit and check for any damages or loose mechanisms, if all works ok and looks ok, slowy , carefully put a tape into the unit and see if there are any jams or anything stopping it from moving.

My sony mhc-bx7 makes a strange clicking noise 3 times when you turn it on and it then says tape b on screen then says eject and powers down. what is the fault and can i fix it?

Dual cassette deck are nothing but trouble, but on occasion they can be made to work a little longer. Maybe lose belts or the most common thing is the grease is all dried up. It requires the cleaning off and application of new better grade grease. The problem is the mechanism has to come apart and make sure it is aligned when put together- this can take 3 hours.

How do i remove a stuck cassette tape from a 1994 chevy truck player?

Does it make noise or move when you hit the eject button? If so, slide a butter knife under the exposed edge of the tape drive adaptor about an 1/8" and hit the eject button. Just a little upward pressure should help it release. It the eject button has no effect, you may need to pull the radio out, open the cover and manually turn the eject drive assembly.

There is a broken plastic part on the cassette. Needs to be replaced.

Sony tc-wr535 won't eject. Tape stuck. Won't play cassette on either deck A or B .makes noises but won't FF or play, gets stuck and wont eject. Will belt conditioner work? What do I use?

The problem, according to messages on your site, is that the belts are old and have stretched. There is a great step by step tutorial on www.Instructables.com with pictures and all. Parts are not too hard to find on search engine. Looks like less than $25 to fix.

The cassette is stuck and the player will not eject it. when you turn it on it just makes a beeping noise.

Follow this procedure to troubleshoot if the cassette compartment will not open or the tape is stuck and will not eject.

IMPORTANT: If your camcorder model has a RESET button, first try pressing this button. If there is no RESET button, or pressing the button does not resolve the issue, continue with the troubleshooting steps below.
  1. Turn off the camcorder.
  2. Remove the battery from the camera.
  3. Remove the AC power supply from the camera.
  4. Slide the power switch on the camera to the VTR , VCR or CAMERA mode for 15 seconds.
  5. Slide the power switch back to the OFF position.
  6. Connect the AC power supply to the camera.
  7. Attempt to open the cassette compartment.

Stuck disc in JVC CD player

It wasn't a car cd player, but a component for a stereo.  I took off the case and shook the player until the disc dropped out.  We plan to replace the player, so no further help is needed.  Thank you for getting back to me so quickly.
