Can i install my lexmark printer without its discs

You may be able to make it work with a basic print driver by just plugging it in your computer. However, it's best to install the Lexmark P6250 driver. Check this link for the available Lexmark P6250 driver: http://bit.ly/cZK7g1. Click on the Microsoft or Macintosh dropdown found below the page to choose the version of your computer's operating system. Download, execute the file and follow the instructions on the software. Thanks.

Lexmark P6250 won't scan in Vista64

Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned
off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program
that came with the printer.
When the software program asks you to
connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it
should again work properly.
Hope this is of some help. Bud

Just got new computer with windows vista now my lexmark p6250 printer dos

Remember that Vista is about 2 years old; any "new" printer first marketed within the last 2 years probably is not recognized by Vista.

Have you accessed LexMark's web-site, and downloaded and installed the device-driver for Vista for your specific model of printer?

  1. Go to the Lexmark Find Drivers/Product Selector page.
  2. Enter Lexmark P6250 under "Search by Model", and click the Search button.
  3. Select your OS from the dropdown (Vista).
  4. Click Download Now.
  5. If you're asked to Save or Run, choose to Run (it keeps you from having to go find the file and double-click it later).

You will need to install Vista driver to suit, please note that orginal scanning software is not available but you will find within Vista itself the ability to scan.
