Question about Apple iMac G3, G4 USB Keyboard 9224078
I run an iMac OS9.2.2. I have a Lexmark X5150 all in one printer which works fine when I send files to print from my Sony Vaio laptop, so there is nothing wrong with the printer itself.
When I send files to print from my Mac nothing happens at all. There is never a desktop printer icon on my desktop which I think may be the problem. I have tried uninstalling the software but it wont allow me to as I can't access a print queue to delete before uninstalling. How can I get around this problem? I have tried installing over existing files but still there is no desktop icon. I have downloaded the correct printer driver and that hasn't helped either. There is no reference to the Lexmark 5150 in the printer descriptions list in the extensions folder either.
The printer shows up in the chooser and when I select it an icon should appear on the desktop but doesn't.
Have you any ideas what I can try next. Thankyou. Dave
