Hi mikejtrav,

There could be many things that could stop the board from turning on, Determining if it works is like detective work. What I do, is take everything off the board to start. Then add the minimum to start a board to see if it will start. That's one drive (cd or otherwise) the CPU, and one bank of memory. (that's not a required eliminate, but it helps avoid beep codes) Also, make sure you have your pin's set on the board absolutely correct, or that could be your problem to begin with. Also, if your going to load a ide drive, make sure you set your pin setting correctly on it. Now, you should get the power supply on, and the cpu. If those don't power up, it's then either one of the five elements. The CPU, Power supply, Ram, Drive, or the motherboard. The next step is to replace each one of the first four to see if you get any change. If no change, then I usually get another board that I can test the first four, and make sure that they work. After that, then I say you have a DOA Board

Good Luck and don't forget to leave a rating.
Thanks
Mark

On my foxconn 45gm/45cm and im using windows 7.my windows performance expirience is 3.2 on gaming graphics but it doesnt play need for speed wanted to perfection

with need for speed and any other game that is heavy on graphic is all about graphics card. it's not enough to have a good CPU and plenty of ram - you need to have a good GPU too and a fast HDD/SSD. i'd suggest to upgrade your GPU and RAM

Stop at foxconn logo canot run

Go check the connection of the hard disk, try to remove the ide or sata cable and also power supply connection then connect again and reseat properly the ide/sata cable.

Restart your computer.

If this will not work, try removing the hard disk before booting up your computer and see if this go beyond the logo. If this goes beyond logo then hard disk is faulty. May need to partition and reformat thoroughly. Or replacement.

Compitable processor with Foxconn 45GM/45CM

Here is FoxConn website and shows what processors would be compatible.
You may need to upgrade the bios, and remember.
If you go to high your other components in your machine may not be compatible.
i would try and contact support at foxconn and see what they say about upgrading.

Installation of foxconn 45cmx

Hi aligmatos, it is suggested that you use a 24-pin main power connector if you are going to fill up the motherboard & use a PCI-Express graphics card & Dual-Core Pentium CPU. The power supply should not be less than a 450W for this board, 550W would be better. You can use a 20-pin main connector but its not suggested. Make sure you connect the 4-pin 12V power connector. Your motherboard should still function with a 20-pin main power connector. Again I would not suggest it.
Main web site for Foxconn 45CM-S

Search preformed for Recommended power wattage for foxconn 45CM-S motherboard.

Good luck aligmatos!
