<span><b>Setting 1:- Go to Menu > Settings > Connectitvity > WLAN > Internet connection > Ask first<br /><br />- Goto Menu > Settings > Configuration > Default config. settings > myGlobe (or Smart)<br /><br />- Goto Menu > Settings > Configuration > Preffered access point > myGlobe Internet (or Smart Internet)<br /><br />- Goto Menu > Internet > Web settings > Configuration settings > Configuration > myGlobe Internet (or Smart Internet)<br /><br />- Goto Menu > Internet > Web settings > Configuration settings > Account > myGlobe Internet (or Smart Internet)<br /><br />- Select your preferred scanned network, then Connect.<br /><br />- You will notice a WiFi signal logo ..oo)))) on the top screen indicating you're connected.<br /><br />- Go to MENU > Internet > Go to address <i>(and enter the website you want)</i><br /><br />- Done. pls verify below steps,
1.Whether WLAN switched on and has a good WLAN coveage.
2.Security settings on WLAN options
- Check the security modes (Open/WEP/WEP2 - this depends on your WLAN connection)
- Check Security settings (Public shared Key settings)
3.You have to be a authorized user in WLAN network if it requires authentication login.
4.Open the browser on you mobile and select General->Connection->Always Ask,
then it will prompt for the connection type, Select WLAN.
when going wifi
you have to go to internet connections or options in the control panel and click on the LAN settings button
the wifi modem will have a security code on the back and the wifi connection area code
click on the found area code on the back of the modem then enter the security code
setup Internet access point for WLAN
select options>new access points
Enter Connection name
Data bearer: select Wireless LAN
WLAN network name: select search wlan to select wlan in range.
network status: select "public" if you can see wlan in range
WLAN network mode: select infrs or adhoc
WLAN security mode: select same settings used by WLAN access point
WLAN security settings:
Homepage: select the homepage you want
now you can connect & browse the internet. hope this helps
Please use this tip as check list if any of the mandatory settings is not clear let me know. Check if you see the network name in your PC. (if you do not see it SSID is not broadcast OR your wireless adapter on Acer is not on same standard (801.11 a / b /g/ n) as your router (Model???). If you see WLAN, is it secured? (= you need network key ) Please check the security standard of WLAN (WEP, WPA, AES, TKIP) and use accordinly. If you cannot connec check if an access list is on router and insert your new PC (or disable it)
