Question about Nokia 447Xi (White) 17" CRT Monitor
Hey i resize my monitor the resolution using the vertical setting, now its the smallest(white strip in the middle) i can't resize it now coz i can see a thing. So any kind souls out there that can tell me all the options when i press Select. Coz i need it be done ASAP thx in advance.
I suspect that the white strip is horizontally across the screen? This is definitely an electronic fault and indicates that the vertical deflection circuit has failed. In TV and monitor jargon this is known as field collapse. Open-up the monitor (switch-off first!) and look for any obvious bad connections on the board known as dry joints, especially around large components. If all is fine, then replace the vertical field integrated circuit. If all this sounds like mumbo-jumbo then rather refer servicing to a qualified tech, and try to get him/her not to rip you off by citing all the above lingo. Good luck.
