Motorolat MOTOKRZR K1 File Transfer

I'm trying to transfer files from/to my MOTOKRZR K1 phone, with no success. The USB connection is "seen" by the phone (USB icon on phone appears when cable is plugged in), and memory card is functional (i.e. - I can save/view photos). However, the WinXP computer displays a message in Windows Explorer: "Please insert the disk into drive f:". The Memory Card was selected in Settings>Connection>USB Setting>Default Connection>Memory Card, on the phone. How should I troubleshoot?

Take the battery out and insert slide SIM card in. direction should be shown (it goes right underneath where the sdcard should be).

Or you can take out the phone's micro SD card and connect that directly to your PC. You probably shouldn't change some of the folder names that are already on the SD card though...

The driver was not installed properly. Motorola has downloadable drivers on their website. check with them for dowload instructions. If you still have trouble you may want to install motorola phone tools. It is synchronization software by motorola. costs about $30

Purchased software program and now I need to transfer it to my mobile phone. I have the USB cord, but after plugging it in thats as far as I got.

should be able to right click while your mouse is on the software icon and choose send to device.

if you have the file open go to file in the top browser right click then choose send to device.

Motorola MOTOKRZR K1 USB cable problem

Hi I am not sure if this can solve your problem, but for me I had trouble with my cd-rom and therefore couldn't get to use my installation cd, tried at first to see if the plug and play would find new hardware, and got the same as you.(Found hardware but nothing else). Anyway after transfering to another PC I was able to get the CD Files and convert them into a zip. So download these 2 files; 1 (http://www.4shared.com/file/62795767/eab01c80/Motorola_Phone_Tools_part1.html) & 2 http://www.4shared.com/file/62801586/73949205/Motorola_Phone_Tools_dll_files.html, and 1.Unzip/extract file 1 2.Unzip/extract file 2 (dll) 3.Add all the files in file 2 to file 1. Without adding it in a seperate folder.(see screenshot) Once you've got them all, use the data connection/USB CONNECTION (as it will say on the screen of your mobile). Plug in your USB Cable, should automatically get new hardware found or try using the mphonetools (says you gotta register, but pass that if you want). You should then get a K1 model phone on your desktop. (dublicate-cyper version of your own cellphone). The rest I'm sure you can figure it out ;) Best of luck to you and others with the same problem. (If it works please rate fairly) :D Screenshot of file folder 930ab1a.png

Hi! Use iSync (included in mac OS) in order to syncronize your phone with the mac and transfer files through BlueTooth. No additional software or cables needed.
