Question about Harley Davidson 426290 AM/FM Radio
You may have a problem with your alternator.
You should check the voltage when the motor is at a idle and then at a higher rpm.
If the alternator is allowing a unfiltered voltage to bleed through, you will have this type of symptoms. ( in some cases you can add a capacitor to the led )
You also, may want to temporally wire the radio direct to the battery and check with engine running. The reason I feel this may be the solution for you is, most of us have the rotting red flashing beacon.( Brake lite )
If you wire direct and you still have problems with static or garbled output, have the dealer replace the unit.
Hope this works for you and was not a waist of time.!
