Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: pull cord is stuck on a hampton bay ceiling fan

Most likely broken. Sometimes you can wiggle and work it loose. If not you can replace the pull chain switch. You will have to (remove power first of course) get to the actual switch. most fans this is relatively easy. Often it is just under the glass light cover. There will be a retaining nut and the switch should come loose. Home depot, lowes, and most hardware stores should have a generic replacement that should fit. you may or may not have to cut the wires to remove the old one, but a couple wire nuts to install the new one and you should be good to go. Hope this helps. If you need further assistance post a reply in the comments, and don't hesitate to leave good thumb rating if you found this helpful. Thanks, and good Luck!

I have a ceiling fan (mar 1997 "YL") Model AC-552(TA52BB6LK)"BB" motor does not have enough power to turn blades. Is there a Replacement motor available? What Brand is original?

The Hampton Bay fans are inexpensive, yet very good. However, there are not many places that sell replacement parts (other than fan blades, Irons, etc.) motors are hard to find. You might try
http://www.ceilingfanparts.com/index.htm to see if they can help you. Most motors are interchangeable.

I have a Hampton Bay ceil fan model # AC-552 "NN" and the serial # 000371. We had lost power in our neiborhood a while back and was use the generator and when the power came back on our fan didn't work....

Hampton Bay is an exclusive brand of Home Depot. They would be the ones to help you with that. BUT .. from my experience I would say that the cost and trouble of getting and replacing the motor in that fan would be easilly rivalled by the cost and ease of buying and installing a new fan all together.

I HAVE A HAMPTON BAY MODEL AC-418 CEILING FAN. IT

Your issue is most likely a faulty speed control. The part is integral to the remote receiver in the fan housing. You can purchase spare parts for this fan through Home Depot (Hampton Bay) Service at 800-654-0688.

The fan unit itself is manufactured by AirCool 800-896-4908
